OPEN DOOR Student Exchange

OPEN DOOR Student Exchange invites you to explore the wonderful world of exchange. Become or host a foreign exchange student for 3, 5, or 10 month stays. Introduce your family to the world right in your own home. We are a high school exchange program dedicated to intercultural study both here and abroad. We are currently seeking host families to offer hospitality to foreign students from Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Croatia, Yugoslavia, France, Spain, South America, Israel, and many more countries.

We are also seeking persons interested in becoming area representatives for the purpose of placing and counseling these students. Positions are available in most states.

We also have many abroad programs for summer semester or academic year. For more information on any of these programs, contact any of the numbers below to OPEN the DOORS for your world of opportunity.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

• CONGRESS/BUNDESTAG - government grant scholarships to study and work in Germany for an academic year. Program for graduated seniors only. No language requirement. You must apply for this program by 3/31/97!
• Freedom Support Act - government grant scholarship for students to study here and abroad in conjunction with the former USSR countries.
• Hosting Scholarship - tuition assistance awarded to any student who hosted a foreign student in their home.
